Intel Next-generation chip is delayed will be available until 2022. The company was exploring its contingency plans to manufacture some of the products through a third party.
It seems Intel is clearly giving their competitors a long time to step into the chip business. According to the official news, they found a defect in the manufacturing process that ultimately leads to an extensive gap.
With the help of next-generation chip, the processes become more efficient and most of the work would be on a single silicon chip. This would be more energy-efficient due to the faster processors. In addition to that, it will provide longer battery life for both smartphones as well as the laptops. More battery time means, the power consumption would be reduced to a wide extent.
It is expected that the chip will be 7-nanometer – the current chip is a 10-nanometer. This is a marketing feature of Intel that many users around the world are waiting to be introduced.
The question is that, is this Intel’s delay significant for the competitors? The delay may create some competition in the market, and of course, if this is the situation then the company must have to compete it too.
