As per the update of Google, the most popular search engine will no longer back up the images and videos from social media platforms in its photo app. In the past, a folder was created by Google Photos app to store any image and video through different apps, like Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.
This is official that the changes are made by Google just to save the internet resources, as people are sharing more photos and videos during this COVID-19 pandemic. Well, the previously used feature took a lot of memory and used bandwidth on smartphones.
Netflix and YouTube also made similar decisions to decrease the traffic, as an extensive number of people are using high-speed broadband at their homes due to the ongoing pandemic.
Apps that are affected include, Facebook, Helo, Instagram, LINE, Messages, Messenger, Snapchat, Twitter, Viber, and WhatsApp
Already backed up pictures and videos are not affected, and if you want to turn on this feature you can do it manually.
